Abstract: | A two-year-old female Black Bengal goat weighing around 20 kg was presented to Upazila Veterinary Hospital and Livestock Office, Gafargaon, Mymensingh with a history of inappetance bellowing and ataxia. Stumbling, circling, forcing head into impediments, and softening at the base of the horn were all observed during the clinical examination. All of the other clinical values were within normal limits. It was determined that it was gid based on all clinical evaluations, and surgery to remove cysts from the brain was scheduled. The surgical area was trimmed, shaved, and immersed in povidone iodine after aseptic preparation for the surgery. Local infiltration of 2 percent lidocaine hydrochloride occluded the surgical site. Cysts were removed slowly by gripping it with forceps after an incision was made at the base of the horn. Finally, using a non-absorbable suture, the flaps were closed with simple interrupted sutures (nylon). Fluid and antibiotics were given for five days as part of the postoperative treatment. There were no problems, and the goat's clinical condition improved significantly after the cyst was surgically removed |
