dc.description.abstractThe study was conducted to provide descriptive epidemiological condition of cat which were diagnosed at SAQTVH,CVASU in Chittagong during 1st July 2016 to 31st December 2016.The information collected from SAQTVH questionnaire based data on age, sex, breed, location, system affected, body weigh . A total 116 cases were found where local breed were 80,cross breed were 22 and parsian breed were 14.Among 116 cases the prevalence of diseases of cat were followed by Diarrhoea and dehydration (8.62%),Lameness (8.62%), Ectoparasitic infestation (8.62%),Respiratory diseases (6.02%), Opthalmic diseases (5.17%),Gastritis (1.72%),Herpes virus infection (1.72%),Cystitis (0.86%) respectively. The highest prevalence of diseases and clinical conditions of cat were recorded in local breed (68.97%),cross breed (18.97%) and parsian breed (12.01%).Sex wise overall prevalence of clinical cases revealed higher in male cat (54.31%) than female cat (49.69%).en_US
