Information was collected through a pre-set questionnaire from goat owners. It was observed that there was significant (p<0.05) variance goat mortality among different areas in khulshi Thana of Chittagong district, sexes of goat, type of feed used, feeding habit of goat and type of rearing system. The goat mortality was highest in female (29.69%) and lowest in male (21.87%). Among the regions the goat mortality was highest at Jhawtola region (45.31%) and lowest in Foy’s lake region (7.81%). Among the age goat mortality was highest in 0-12 month 34(53.12%) then 37-48 month 1(1.56%) Among the diseases goat mortality was found highest in PPR (37.5%) and lowest in unknown cause (3.13%). Moreover, goat mortality is comparatively high and measures should be taken to reduce the factors of mortality.
