STUDY ON PREVALANCE OF Trichuriasis IN GOAT IN NARSHINGDI DISTRICT.

Abstract

The study was carried out to know about the Trichuriasis in goat at upazilla veterinary hospital Belabo, Narshingdi district during the period of 2 month from May 2013 to July 2013. A total of 100 fecal samples from different goat were collected and 10% formalin were used as preservatives and samples were stored at 40C temperature before examination .The samples was tested in the laboratories of Department of Parasitology and Pathology, Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, of which 32 % goats were found positive for characteristics eggs of Trichuria sp among which infection was found higher in female (33.33%) than in male(28%).The study clearly suggests that goats are highly susceptible to Trichuriasis infection. That is why proper attempts should be made to control these parasites.
