dc.description.abstract | The study was conducted to determine the proportionate prevalence of skin diseases in cattle at Upazilla Veterinary Hospital (UVH) of Chakaria, Cox’s Bazar during February to April of 2014. A total of 27 cases were studied during this period. Diagnosis of cases was performed on clinical signs. Age sex and breed of each case were recorded. Descriptive analysis was performed. The prevalence was 29.2% for myiasis, 25.9% for FMD, 18.5% for papillomatosis, 11.1% for allergic dermatitis, 7.4% for dermatomycosis and 7.4% for dermatophilosis. Younger cattle had higher prevalence. Male cattle were commonly affected by skin diseases. Ceftriaxone and penicillin were mostly used for treating different skin diseases | en_US |
