The experiment was conducted to investigate the production performance of Indigenous buffalo and management system under small scale rural farmers through the field survey. The data were collected from Bangladesh Livestock Research Institute (BLRI) during the period from 02 May to 06 June 2016. Parameters studied were Age at puberty (Months), Lactation length (Days), Milk Yield (L /D), Birth Weight (kg), Age at first calving (Months), Calving interval (Days), Post partum heat period (Days). In our present study it found that the average age at puberty is 45.03 ± 6.97 months, the average lactation length is 242.60.±41.46 days, The average milk yield is 2.3 ± 0.7O3 litres per day, The average gestation period is 317.47±6.57 days, average birth weight is 23.77±5.20 kg, age at first calving are 55.33±7.20 months, average of calving interval are 650.93±79.57 days, average post partum heat period are 235.90±52.28 days. Deworming the buffaloes was done by upazilla veterinarian. In our study it revealed that major problems in buffalo production are lack of artificial insemination, high cost of feed and marketing problem. The results of this study will be useful for farmers and researchers to identify the overall problems of raising indigenous buffaloes and to make recommendations for better production performance of indigenous buffaloes in future prospect of Bangladeshen_US
