Abstract: Antibiotics are medicines that fight bacterial infections in people and animals. This current study aimed at determining knowledge, attitude and practice of antibiotics use and misuse among farmers in Magura Sadar, Magura. Description of such knowledge, attitude and practice could provide insights useful for promoting the rational use of antimicrobials in livestock. A cross sectional study was conducted from 17th February 2022 to 28th April 2022, a survey involving 80 respondents in this area. Most of them (71.25%) didn't aware about AMR. Many respondents didn't maintain the proper dose using antibiotics. Some respondent used antibiotic according to previous prescription. All of respondent threw unused antibiotic in ground. Overall, KAP analysis of antimicrobial usage revealed that most respondents had low levels of antimicrobial knowledge, neutral rather than positive attitudes, and poor antimicrobial usage habits. The findings suggest that KAP improvements may aid in the development of more productive farmer interventions, as well as in the reduction of antibiotic use and the escalation of antimicrobial resistance.
