Abstract: Femur is the most commonly fractured bone in cats. Nowadays, a variety of fracture management techniques are used to correct various fractures based on their history. Pin and wires, leg screws, Rush pins, intramedullary threaded pins, interlocking pins, clamp rod internal fixators, and plates or plate-rods are used to treat femoral fractures in cats. In this study, A one year two months old local female cat, presented to Teaching and Training Pet Hospital and Research Center (TTPHRC), Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University with the history of accident. On radiographic examination, the right leg was found to have a complete mid diaphyseal femoral fracture. For internal surgical immobilization of the fractured section, an intramedullary pin was fashioned into an arrow shape and placed entirely retrogradely. A one-month Robert Jones Bandage was also placed to limit mobility.The fracture recovery went smoothly, and the cats were able to move their feet one week after surgery.
