dc.description.abstract | COVID 19 is one of the most alarming situations this year in the whole world. COVID-19 1st was identified on 8th march in Bangladesh. Bangladesh is in her 5th month of epidemic situation. The study attempts to understand the covid19 situation in Bangladesh in June. In this study, I found that the infected rate in June has increased than in the previous months. And the death rate is higher than in the previous months. The recovery rate was increasing this month. Most of the cases are found in the Dhaka division this month. Infected and death rates are found higher in males than females. The highest infected rate is found in the age group within 31-40 and the highest death rate is found in the age group within 61-70. The highest recovery rate is found in the Rangpur division and the lowest recovery rate is found in Chattogram division. Corresponding to the fact that it is a war-like situation, as the coronavirus outbreak quickly surges worldwide, many countries are adopting non-therapeutic preventive measures, which include travel bans, remote office activities, country lockdown, and most importantly, social distancing however, these measures face challenges in Bangladesh, a lower-middle-income economy with one of the world's densest populations. Social distancing is difficult in many areas of the country, and with the minimal resources the country has, it would be extremely challenging to implement the mitigation measures. | en_US |
