STUDY ON REPRODUCTIVE PROBLEM OF GOATS FOUNDS IN SAQTVH OF CHITTAGONG VETERINARY AND ANIMAL SCIENCES UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The experiment was done to monitor the comparative study of different reproductive problem of goats. The prevalence of reproductive disorders in various types of goat breeds including Jamunapari, Black Bengal, local was estimated from the record sheet of Shahedul Alam Quadery Teaching Veterinary Hospital, Chittagong district for the period from January 2010 to December 2010. For achieving this goal 150 goats were selected from SAQTVH Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University. The data collected from different goat breeds which come for treatment in SAQTVH at 2010. The common reproductive problem of goats is irregular estrus, ulceration in vaginal wall, different types of dystocial case, mastitis, maggot infestation in vaginal wall, pregnancy diagnosis. A total of 150 cases abortion (19.33%), Retained placenta (4%), Mastitis (12%), Ulceration in vaginal wall (4.67%), Maggot infestation in vaginal wall (10%), Dystocial case (13.33%), Pregnancy diagnosis (23.34%), Uterine prolapsed (6%), Vaginal infection (3.33%), Repeat breeding (4%).
