In the Upazilla Veterinary Hospital, castration was performed in two ways-open method or surgical method and close method. Between the two methods , open or surgical method was applied most of the times. After castration, post operative care and management was taken in the proper way and for that reason ,there was not so complications. In between the two methods of castration ,open method was more reliable and effective though skilled manpower and instruments were needed. In case of close method of castration it was less cost bearing but there were various types of complications from the goat owners . The owners complained that castration was not properly done and so the sexual ability of the goat were present in some cases. So after comparing between the two methods, we can say that open method of castration was the better and for this purpose, the combination of Streptomycin-Penicillin and ciprofloxacin antibiotic was more effective drug.
