Abstract: A study was carried out on Foot and Mouth Disease in Patgram Thana in Lalmonirhat district. Both prospective and respective data were collected during my placement schedule. Total 344 animals were observed in my Upazilla, among those 133 were bull, 156 were cow and 75 claves. Percentage of FMD varied significantly in different host species with higher incidence in bull (55.72%) followed by calves (49.87%) and cow (44.69%) during my internship period of 42 days. The rate of FMD increasing with the increase of age. The observed main clinical sign were high temperature, profuse salivation, vesicles found in the mouth, tongue, muzzle, dental pad, coronary bend and interdigital space. The observed pathological lesions were vesicular lesions on the mouth especially in the tongue, lips, gum, dental pad, coronary bend and interdigital space. Rupture of vesicles & secondary bacterial infection may occur. The economic loss due to consequence of FMD in cattle was very high in terms of mortality and decreased production. So proper vaccination schedule need to control the disease.
