Abstract: The study was carried out in Proshika Poultry and Hatchery Limited at Savar, in Dhaka district from 13 June to 04 July, 2009. And a comparative study was done by collecting data from Proshika Poultry and Hatchery limited at Shatkaniya in Chittagong district. The study was performed to know the overall hatchery management. A practices data were recorded on hatchery management such as collection, storage, selection, grading and disinfection of hatching eggs, preparation of the setter and hatcher in the incubator, turning and candling of egg, hatching of chicks, grading of chicks, disposal of broken egg and hatchery waste etc. Data were collected from hatchery record and by interviewing process. The study was performed on 30 hatches of Proshika Poultry and Hatchery and it reveals that among the setting eggs. The average hatchability percentage of Dhaka and Chittagong were 79.86% and 83.11% respectively. And the capacities of hatchers were 14850 and 19200 respectively
