dc.description.abstractIn morphometric characterization of the native dogs of Bangladesh, thirty dogs were studied in Subarnachar,Noakhali. These dogs taken under study were domesticated by the respective villagers. Characterization was made upon their coat color, head structure, ear length, body conformation, height at pin bone, heart girth, length between point of pin bone to withers and their gaits. In conducted study it was found that brown color is dominating in our native dogs population with white extremities, 8.55cm is their average ear length with 0.58 SD. Their average heart girth is 63.82cm, and average height is 43.67cm with 3.34, 4.05 SD respectively. Total body conformation depends on their age, sex, status of nourishment and their average measurement from point of pin to withers is 60.95cm with 2.33 SDen_US
