Abstract: This study was conducted to record the morphometric parameters of Goat lungs in Bangladesh from 10.12.2009 to 05.04.2010 in the laboratory of Anatomy and Histology at CVASU. Here the recorded parameters were, Fresh lungs weight 450±100gm, Right lung weight 336±37 gm, Left lung weight 243±38 gm, Right apical lobe weight 47±11 gm, Right accessory lobe weight 23±4 gm, Right cardiac lobe weight 83±10gm, Right diaphragmatic lobe weight 153±16gm, Left apical lobe weight 29±6gm, Left cardiac lobe weight 41±7gm, Left diaphragmatic lobe weight 160±21gm. The Length of trachea from larynx to apical lobe was 16.5±2 cm, from apical lobe to bifurcation 5.6 ± 1cm. The length of Right lung was 19.1±2 cm, Left lung 15.6±1 cm, Right apical lobe 8.8± 2cm, Right accessory lobe 6.9±1 cm, Right cardiac lobe 9.6±1 cm, Right diaphragmatic lobe 15.25±1 cm, Left apical lobe 6.9±1 cm, Left cardiac lobe 10.8±2 cm, Left diaphragmatic lobe 10.10±4 cm. Here 52±6 number of tracheal cartilages were recorded. Diameter of trachea transverselly was 1.38±0.2 cm, vertically was 1.16±0.2 cm. Width of Right apical lobe was 5.5±1 cm, Right accessory lobe 3.5±0.5 cm, Right cardiac lobe 6.5±1.3 cm, Right diaphragmatic lobe 9.0±1.3 cm, Left apical lobe 4.0±0.2 cm, Left cardiac lobe 3.0±0.6 cm, Left diaphragmatic lobe 7.5±1.4 cm.
