Abstract: The study was undertaken to investigate the navel ill in calves associated with some risk factors like housing system, age, sex, breed, complication of the disease and their management at individual level. Clinical investigation of a total no. of 15 infected calves of both sexes (male & female), aged between one to two months and housing system (concrete, semi-concrete & mud floors) were obtained by using a preset questionnaire, by taking history of the patient, clinical examination and observing presenting clinical signs. Result revealed that calves reared on mud floor were found infected at higher rate (73.33%) than those on concrete floor (6.67 %) and semi-concrete floor (20%). The infection rate was higher at the age of 0-15 days (60 %) than 16-30 days (26.67 %) and 31-60 days (13.33 %). On the other hand male calves were found more infected (73.33%) than female calves (26.67%). In unhygienic environmental condition the infection rate was higher (83.33%) than hygienic condition (26.76%).
