Abstract: The study was conducted at Mirsarai upazilla in chittagong district to know the prevalence of general diseases and disorders in goats. This assigned work was carried out for a period of two month from 26th june , 2010 to 27th august 2010. A total of 122 affected goats were examined during that period; among them the prevalence of viral, bacterial, parasitic and other non infectious diseases were 27.7%, 23.3%, 13.7% and 35.5% respectively. From this present investigation among viral diseases PPR (25.3%) was higher than other diseases. in case of bacterial diseases pneumonia (11.1%) was significant. Prevalence of internal parasite in goats 23% raised at the Kalai Upajila was studied. Fascioliosis (5.5%) was found effectively in the studied population. Simple indigestion (7.9%) is a common disease which primarily affected on non grassing ruminants.Urolithiasis (6.5%) is also an important disease of castrated buck characterized by complete retention of urine, unsuccessful efforts of urinates. Other diseases like hoof enlargement and atresia ani were 1.5% and 7.9% respectively. Those findings may be corrected with variation of goat husbandry practice, with in different topography of different place and socio-economic condition of individual farmer.
